Leeds University Union Assassins Guild

"You draw your weapon as you near your victim. The rigid steel handle feels cold in your palm. You can see them clearly now; the creases in their clothing, each individual hair on their head. As you hold up your gun your body swells with heat, forcing a drop of sweat to fall from your chin. The time is now, you are ready. As you slowly start to press down on the trigger you feel a whisper of air on the back of your neck. It is at that moment, as a cold steel blade penetrates your lower back, that you realise you can never win...Welcome to the Guild."

A short documentary about the Guild directed by Gary Williams.

Varsity Match

Date: 08/11/08 Posted By: Woody

Every year the three main guilds in the country (Durham, Cambridge and ourselves) get together for a weekend of assassins games, for the last two years we have been to visit Durham then Cambridge, so it is now our turn to host the games. This year they will be held on the weekend 6th March to the 8th March. The format is expected to be similar to the last 2 years, more details will be provided closer to the time. Now why am I telling you this now, so many months in advance? Firstly when the rampaging hoards of assassins get here they will need refreshments in a local bar, followed by a bed/sofa/floor to sleep the night. Were expecting around 30 or 40 assassins to come, possibly more if we can accommodate, so we need you guys to provide them with somewhere to sleep for the Friday and Saturday nights. Im hoping that enough people can provide floor space (they will bring their own sleeping bags etc) just one or two assassins each would be enough, that way we should easily be able to accomodate everyone. Particularly Durham seem keen to know numbers early so they can book transport etc etc. So if everyone could reply with how many people you have space for on your floor (if they get more luxurious space on a sofa or even a spare bed then this is obviously a bonus) then I can pass this info onto the visiting teams, if anyone has parking spaces outside their house this would also be useful.
