The first event of the year, the Assassins Guild proudly presents "The Zombie Prom". A FAB festival of fancy dress, burlesque, fire poi and magicians all to the break neck beats of punk, indie, alternative rock. A selection of jellied brains and blood orientated beverages will be on offer all night until the end when prizes will be given for the most ghoulish amongst us. To get people in a killing mood Graham will explain the rules to the mini and main games. Giving people a chance to answer all those questions you're dying to know.
Half Otley run
Discover the pubs around campus in this epic pub crawl. The Otley run is traditional 24 pubs, but to make it slightly less lethal we are just doing the good ones close to town and Uni. As an added twist the theme is three legged race. Bring a friend or find one there (but don't forget something to tie yourselves together).
Mini game begins
The mini game is your first chance at hunting and stalking people. We give you all the target details you would get in a main game (name, subject and address) but instead of three targets you get 20 to 30 targets. Don't get too excited though. They have your name too. Yes tht's right it's an all vs. all battle of survival which lasts all week. Because were kindly souls and we like to see the killing go on a bit, we respawn everyone each day. So the person who you killed today might be after you tomorrow. The player with the most kills at the end of the week wins a £5 Amazon voucher or a weapon from the armoury (whichever they prefer).
Flash Mob

Before very major event we put on we do a stunt or two to get attention. This year we are have a flash mob water fight outside the union. Meet up along Cromer Terrace at 11.40 and grab a water gun. We then spread out and converge outside the union for a massive waterfight. We go crazy attack each other (not any passers by) then wander off in different directions after 5 minutes of crazed activity. We will be advertising REDEMPTION 5/10/11 4pm WATER FIGHT So be sure to write it on the back of any cheap white t-shirt you no longer want.
Redemption
The biggest water fight in Leeds is designed not about getting soaked (it's October!!!) but along paintball rules. We play a series of team mini games like capture the flag, presidents or take and hold in which you compete to achieve various challenges. If you get hit then you put your hand in the air and your out till next game (about 5 mins time). It's faster, less painful and darn site cheaper than paintball (as it's free) so is generally well attended. Ater the event we go for drinks in the old bar. All water guns will be provided on the day. We have loads so bring your friends.
Mini Game ends
The havoc of the first mini game ends at 9pm on Monday. The kills will be counted and the winner announced. Prizes will be given at Redemption on Wednesday
Paintballing
Once again we will be hosting our highly sponsored trip away to the Yorkshire paintball centre. Tickets cost £20 and include transport, entry, equipment, lunch and your first 100 paintballs. Wear disposable/hard-wearing shoes and be prepared to be muddy! Tickets are extremely limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Main game begins
The main game will take part over 7 weeks across the whole of Leeds. You will be given three targets to hunt down and eliminate along with three tasks to complete. Each time you eliminate a player a new target will be sent to you and so on until only one assassin remains. Should the time run out and we still have multiple assassins alive with one or more kills to their name, then they will be invited to a shootout and the last man standing will win the overall game. Do not be too disheartened if you are eliminated early. We have a zombie box which allows you to rejoin the fight and hunt down targets. You can no longer win the main game but the two other main prices are still available to you, the most kills and the most points. Points are acquired by killing people, completing tasks or taking part in challenges. The tasks are a series of weird challenges designed to test your levels of skill, ingenuity and bravado. It maybe easy to sneak up with a pen labeled knife and stab someone, but much harder to do that while dressed as Zorro and humming the A-team theme tune. Alternatively you can try and complete the challenges which are set down by the web master. This maybe as simple as helping out advertise advents or as daring as retrieving a suitcase from the park while it's surrounded by zombies. Last man standing, Killtacular and the Austin powers awards all receive £10 Amazon vouchers (or a gun from the armoury). Minor prizes will also be given out for deeds at the discretion of the umpire. Any player breaking the rules, cheating or just plain inactive (no kills in the first three weeks) will be placed on the most wanted list and so will be a target for absolutely everyone. The umpire retains the right to cruel and unusual punishments as he/she sees fit.
Mascot competition
The mascot competition is available to all those who want to be on the committee this year but would like absolutely no responsibility. Players will compete in a series of challenging events that will test their shooting, dexterity, drinking and daring. Players will be awarded points on a flexible scale of capability to hilarity ratio. Winners will receive a gun from the armoury, life time membership and a place on this year's committee.
Laser quest
Laser quest (quasar, laser tag) takes part in the largest arena in the country. This huge multi-storey arena has state of the art equipment allowing 3 teams to play simultaneously battling for dominance while slightly hammered (there is also a well stocked cheap bar) to achieve victory and have it displayed for all on the plasma TVs outside. For the low price of £15 we get transport, entry and as many games as we want. Please book in advance so we can ascertain numbers.
Zombie walk

Another advertising event for one of our main games of the year: "Zombie Apocalypse". Day starts at 11am with people holding up placards reading the end of the world is nigh and handing out flyers for the event. At 1 we give up on the placards, don make up and slowly stumble around the University dressed as zombies with the event details plastered across our backs. Possibly still handing out flyers.
Zombie apocalypse
We all know it's coming. It's time we face up to the inevitable reality that is the zombie apocalypse. Us few who are prepare will survive. To increase our numbers, and thus the breeding pairs for the desperate future ahead, Leeds has decided to host a training day just before Halloween. A series of gruelling (light walking pace) events in which we duel with the living dead in attempt to survive till night fall. We then have a visionary documentary about the horrors that await us (one of the many many zombie movies). Followed by a drinking session in one of our fortified bunkers where we can get to know those people we will be spending the rest of eternity with (HOUSE PARTY!). The games take place around Leeds, down backstreets and through abandoned buildings. Half of the guild has been turned into zombies while the other half has nothing but small light weight nerf guns to fend them off. Sportingly if you shoot a zombie they back off for 30 seconds before they charge once more (these are 28 days later zombies people!). If a zombie does break through they give you a big hug and you join the ranks of the undead. The game ends if the humans manage to escape to a fortified location or there are no more humans left. We have people coming from other guilds in the country so this should be a huge event.

For Halloween those morning the days of trick or treat can join us for our invasion of Halo for one massive club night. Zombie theme once more, plenty of brains and really cheap drinks! What more could any recently deceased person want. We are meeting in old bar for pre club drinks at 9pm. Club entry will cost £1 and drinks start from £1
Pub quiz
Classic pub quiz with a gallon of beer as the prize! We nearly always come 2nd or 3rd so lend us your brains so we can all get absolutely hammered! Quiz costs 50p per person.
Gun modding
For those who have noticed how much easier life is when your constantly armed we are hosting a gun modding session where we will give you small nerf guns and in the space of an evening turn them into long range nerf sniper guns. For the low price of £5 we will give you all the parts necessary to make a pocket sized sniper and show you how to put it all together.
Otley run
Full Otley run carnage as we do all 24 pubs on the Otley road in a blind drunken blur. Games will happen in every pub along the way to keep you bewildered and entertained with prizes to be had at every juncture.
Main game ends
Main game ends and the main prizes have to be awarded. The judges will meet and discuss the most inventive kills, the most comical and simply the most idiotic kills and award prizes accordingly. If we don't have an overall winner then the survivors with one kill to there name meet up at 6pm in the old bar. Meet with the umpire who will take you to undisclosed arena to fight to be the last man standing. All welcome to watch. Mini games after and a few drinks in the pub.
Poisoner's delight
Last but far from least is the poisoner's delight which is a slap up meal in the largest and grandest buffet in town "Red Hot". You will always find something you want among the many dishes from around the world and if not then ask one of the 6 chiefs standing by to make you something. We use the event to say goodbye to people this semester and hand out the prizes from the main game.
