Next terms game is now ready for assassins to join, however since this game is only two weeks long there will will be some differences to the usual main games: no targets will be assigned but every living assassin will be on the most wanted list, every assassin will resurrect at 9am daily and there is no longer any undead ...you just have to wait until tomorrow. Finally: the winner is the assassin with the most kills.

The final showdown will be held on Thursday at 2.30, followed by the next assassins social and the presentation of awards from this game. Failure to attend will result in an instant death.

Now everyone is finishing their last exams, its time for the first assassins social of the year to present the awards for last terms game. Come along next Thursday (24th) to the packhorse at 7.00, well be waiting for you upstairs... unarmed, honest. we will be presenting the awards for The winner, Most Kills, Most Points, Most Proffesional Kill, Most Comical Kill, and of course the award for the most Incompetent Assassin. ...so if you think you might have been any of the above you could win a prize! We also need to officially vote in the new committee, since the previous one had to step down due to their workload. If anyone would like to be on the assassins committee, the positions of secretary and social secretary are still available. This will of course be an oppertunity for any willing victims to sign up before the next game. Discuises are recommended, but not compulsery.

We feel it is the responsibility of the committee to make sure Assassins also have a social life, and don’t spend three years hiding in the shadows. Therefore, we’re intend on organising some sort of social every couple of weeks. The next one will be ‘Faces, No Names’ at the Pack Horse on Friday 19th October at 8:00pm. Choose any name you wish and you’ll be known by it for the rest of the night. We’re so generous, we’ll even give you a sticker! Socials are classed hallowed ground so you can not be killed during, or travelling to and from them. Dare you show your face?

The Physoc have invited us at Assassins to join them on an Otley Run! The theme is cartoons and television characters, and we are starting at Woodies pub on Friday the 5th of October. NOTE: we have not yet discussed start times with Physoc, so use the start time given here as a rough guide ONLY until further notice!

We have booked the computer resource lounge in the ARC in the Union from 4-6 on Thursday 4th. This will be the last chance to register and pay your £2 before the game starts on the 8th. If you do not know where the ARC is, it is located at top right of the Union, if you ask at the front desk of the Union they will be able to point you in the right direction. Once you get to the ARC, go through the double doors on the right, the resource lounge is the first door on the left.

Hope you have had a good summer and are ready for the next game to begin! And if you have just joined us, welcome! We are having another social so everyone can get to know each other, have a few drinks and generally have a good night :-) We have gone a bit more up market this time, and we have got the new VIP section of the Old Bar (where the pool tables used to be) booked on Friday 21st - yes, this Friday - from 7pm. There is talk of Fruity afterwards too! For those of you who do not know, the Old Bar is in the basement of the Students Union, go through the main doors, then down the stairs to the left. Go though the doors into the Old Bar and turn left again, we will be at the far end behind where the food counter is. So, come along and have a few drinks, those of you who came to the last social will remember the sort of night it was, let us do it again! Hope to see you all there

Right, for any of you have are really interested in this Durham match, a meeting has been arranged for 5pm on THURSDAY 22nd February in meeting room 5 of the ARC (in the union). Anyone is welcome to come along; obviously if you're not interested in going then attendance isn't necessary!

Both rule sets have been changed. The How do I play? section in the game rules now explains how to register a kill or death. The weaponry rules now has a section on water. Please make sure you are up-to-date with both sections before the game starts.

The Christmas social will be on the 7th December in the Eldon at 7:30pm. The game will be over by then so I most of you can make it. Prizes will also be awarded on the evening as well.

Any members of the society who are not part of the current game will soon be able to join the Undead. Although these members can't win the game, their kill total will be recognised and they can get some killing practice in before the second game. Anybody who wishes to join the society can still do so and join the undead straight away.
